Hydration & Intra-Training

Most people consume enough fluid for general health but few people understand the importance of hydration for optimal health and performance.

Endurance athletes and people exercising for over an hour begin to see a considerable decline in their performance due to water loss through sweat and water-vapour on the breath. Sports performance is heavily reliant on carbohydrate intake and research has demonstrated that ingestion of a carbohydrate solution can also improve performance during exercise.

Products like Hydracarb provide quality, easily digested carbohydrates during training and also improve voluntary hydration due to their pleasant taste and feel. Water alone does not encourage a trainee to replenish what is lost during training.

Those undertaking heavy training or ultra endurance events such as cyclists, iron man or mud-runner style events would also benefit from a mixture with amino-acids at certain parts of their training.
