I’m 31 years of age, married to my beautiful wife Joanne, support Sunderland AFC and love the laid back approach to life.
I’ve always been involved in competitive sport from a young age, ranging from running both cross country and sprinting, karate and football. I’ve always been interested in general fitness and have been a member of a gym since the age of 18.
In 2003 I joined her majesty’s prison service (HMP) as a prison officer. As a natural progression for me I applied for the position of a physical education instructor (PEI) in which I was successful and continue to work as to date. I have represented the English Prison Service National Football Team culminating in winning the Home nations tournament in 2012.
In 2014 I set myself a new challenge of wanting to get myself in the best shape possible, with a view of competing in a men’s physique/fitness model competition. The first competition I entered was “Pure Elite” where I managed to take 2nd place in the fitness model category out of 32 competitors. I was thrilled with the result and guess you could say I got the bug. Later that year I entered the “IBFA” Athletic category in York and won the competition, this lead me to the British finals where I finished 2nd and also to Rome, Italy where I took 3rd place in the world championships.
In 2015 I decided to register with UKBFF, possibly the most recognised federation in the world. I competed in the North West Championships British qualifier and out of 30 plus competitors I finished 2nd. This was huge to me as the top 3 received and invite to the British finals. I competed later that year in the British finals and can honestly say it was the best experience I’ve had to date, but unfortunately not placing as high as Id of liked to.

I have a few, the first being the legend Franco Columbu, I don’t think he needs any introduction. A huge inspiration to me is 2016 Olympia qualified and IFBB PRO Ryan john-Baptiste. I’ve followed his fitness journey from his amateur days and someone who has helped me with mine.
As a men’s physique competitor, aesthetics are vital. To help me achieve this, the correct nutrition is paramount. Keeping one step above the competition, means having complete TRUST in cutting edge nutrition and supplements, and that’s where the team at Genetic Supplements are quite simply the best.
Consistency, intensity and always “form over weight” as a general rule. I’m always interested in exploring new avenues.
To compete and qualify for the 2016 UKBFF British finals with and improved physical package. To help inspire at least one person and continue to learn and pass on my knowledge and experience.
To be the best I can be in what I do, and to show that consistency and hard work will achieve good personal results. I get great satisfaction in helping others achieve their goals.
My Favourite Supplements:
I can’t actually pick just one, the three supplements I’m using and feel a great benefit from are BIO WHEY, peanut butter flavour, as its packed high in protein low fats and carbs and full of amino acids, perfect for post workout, and it also tastes amazing. I also use GD CARB UPLIFT, as it maximizes the use of the carbohydrates we take in, in order to allow for improved muscular performance, recovery and muscular growth. The third being ELITE SLEEP, purely for the importance of sleep management and recovery.
