Genetic Vegan Protein Powder

With 35g of protein, and 9g of essential BCAA’s – as well as additional vitamins and minerals – this plant-based protein powder has everything you need to support your training and elevate your performance.

We have developed this powerful blend for trainers and athletes who require the very best vegan nutrition, from high-quality ingredients to delicious taste.

Our formula is engineered using brown rice protein, pea protein isolate, and BCAA instant powder to provide the benefits of a full protein intake. We've added additional fermented vegetable BCAAs for improved protein synthesis which helps with recovery and muscle growth, so you can increase muscle mass during sessions and bounce back faster during the post-workout phase.

If you’re looking to supplement your protein intake, and you’re following a vegetarian, vegan, or non-dairy diet, then you need to look at alternate sources than the usual whey protein supplements. For our vegan protein formula we’ve used a blend of brown rice protein, pea protein isolate, hemp protein powder and an instant BCAA mix to mirror the effects of our Bio Whey drink in muscle development, repair and recovery.

This combination of proteins is completely soy and dairy-free, while still contributing a comparable nutritional profile as more traditional protein drinks. It also has the benefit of additional nutrients such as increased fibre content.

Amino Acids are often described as the “building blocks” of protein, and although there are 20 in total that your body needs to help build and repair muscle, nine of them cannot be produced by the body – these are considered the essential amino acids, and must be obtained from diet.

Three of those nine are the Branched Chain Amino Acids (or BCAA’s) which have a different structure to other essential amino acids, allowing them to be oxidised directly by skeletal muscle and used as energy during training.

Our Vegan Protein contains all essential amino acids, with 9.3g of BCAA’s (Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine), helping you maintain peak performance by alleviating muscle fatigue and soreness.

Suggested Use

How to take your Genetic Vegan Protein is easy: mix 50g (2 scoops) with 300-400ml of cold water using a shaker cup or blender for best results, and consume immediately. When to take it, is a harder question.

When you take your shakes is dependent on what you’re looking to achieve. There a few different reasons that you might be looking to use a protein supplement; to increase calorie intake, for a protein-rich meal replacement when looking to lose weight, for recovery post-training, or to reach and maintain elite performance.

If you’re looking to gain weight then it is best to spread your shakes out between meals so that you’re not ruining your appetite, aside from that it’s not hugely important when you take them.

If you’re looking to lose weight, then we would recommend consulting with a dietary specialist before starting any programme – our vegan protein isn’t designed to be a meal replacement, and you need to ensure you’re getting a well balanced diet. That being said, if you’re going to use Genetic Vegan Protein as quick protein-rich option on-the-go, then consider adding some extras to supplement the shake, such as peanut butter, fruit, or oats.

Most commonly, you’ll be looking to use this as a means of reaching and maintaining elite performance levels, to support development of muscles and aid in repair and recovery – for that you’ll want spread your protein intake out across the day and up to 24hours after training sessions, so consider taking a shake 30 mins before training and then maybe a few hours after to help bolster performance.

We recommend using this no more than four times a day, and make sure to check how much protein and BCAA’s you’re getting from your diet so you can adjust accordingly.
